Rules
  • All players will be expect to wear full soccer attire including jersey, shorts and socks.
  • ​​​Each player will be required to wear soccer appropriate footwear for the surface that they will play on.
  • All players must wear shin guards in order to play.
  • The home team will be required to change to a different jersey if there is a clash of colors. (Pinnies provided)
The Field - The field will be organized to fit the requirements for 7v7 and 9v9 play on Saturdays and full-sided field play for 11v11 on Sundays.
 
The Ball - 2008s-2013s will use a regular size 4 soccer ball. 2005s-2007s will use a regular size 5 soccer ball. The home team for each game will provide 3 match balls.
 
Players -  Numbers of players on the field is defined in the name of each bracket. 2013-2010 7v7, 2009-2008 9v9 and 2007-2005 11v11.
 
Match Officials - Each league game will have 3 USSF certified referees.
 
Match Duration - Games will be 50 minutes in duration for 7v7 teams and 60 minutes in duration for 9v9 and 11v11. Teams will switch sides at half time.
 
Kick Off - All kick offs are in-direct. A shot cannot be taken directly from the kick off. 
 
Ball in and out of play - The field of play will have defined boundaries. Throw-ins will be taken when the ball leaves the field. 
 
Offside - The offside rule will be in effect during the spring league.
 
Fouls and Misconduct - All fouls and misconduct will be dealt with by the referee crew, and their decision will be final. Yellow and red cards can be issued by the 3-man referee crew. A red card will be reviewed and investigated by Spring League Directors and appropriate action will be taken. All red cards given for violent and/or abusive conduct will result in an automatic 3-game suspension. All decisions made by Spring League Directors regarding actions taken for misconduct and red-cards are final. 
 
Free-kicks - Whether the free-kick is direct or indirect will be u to the discretion of the 3-man referee crew.
 
Substitutions -  Can be made at anytime during the match with permission from the 3-man referee crew. Exiting player must be fully off of the field, in front of their team bench before substitute can enter field of play.
 
Goalkeepers - Goalkeepers may punt, drop kick, or volley - however we hope this League is used to improve the technical abilities of players and therefore we encourage a 'play out from the back' philosophy. Regular rules apply, the keeper can only handle the ball inside the defined box, any violation of this rule will result in a decision made by the 3-man referee crew. 
 
Coaches - Coaches are expected to use their experience and common sense in how they conduct themselves on and off the field. We believe in a player first environment and a growth mentally. Please conduct yourselfs professionally as always and hold yourself to a high standard. We will do the same.

The Field - The field will be conducive to 5v5 play for 2009s (U8) through 2007s (U10). 2006s (U11) through 2003s (U14) will play 7 v 7, (6 field players + a goal keeper). 
 
The Ball - 2009s-2005s will use a regular size 4 soccer ball. 2004s-2003s will use a regular size 5 soccer ball. The home team for each game will provide 3 match balls.
 
Players -  Numbers of players on the field in defined in the name of each bracket.
 
Match Officials - Each league game will have one match manager.
 
Match Duration - Games will be 44 minutes in duration. Team will switch sides at half time.
 
Kick Off - All kick offs are in-direct. A shot cannot be taken directly from the kick off. 
 
Ball in and out of play - The field of play will have defined boundaries. Throw-ins will be taken when the ball leaves the field. 
 
Offside - The offside rule will not be in affect in the Spring League.
 
Fouls and Misconduct - All fouls and misconduct will be dealt with by the match manager, and their decision will be final. Cards will not be issued, but players can be asked to leave the field of play at anytime by the match manager. 
 
Free-kicks - All free-kicks on the field of play will be direct.

Goalkeepers - Goalkeepers may not punt, drop kick, or volley.  When distributing the ball, from hands or feet, a goalkeeper cannot play past the halfway line. If a goalkeeper plays past the halfway line, the ball is returned to them. 
 
Coaches - Coaches are only expected to coach their teams at half time, before/after each game.
